Comcast .vs. internet companies

This post I want to discuss about -

Comcast .vs. internet companies. So I would prefer to pick Comcast over other internet companies since Comcast have the best service, internet speed is very high than others. But I am very curious like a cat to know what kind of company that you like to use or using it currently?

Why I am talking about this? I noticed most of the internet company that many people using, tend to having the problem with their internet like I use Wireless under AT&T, it is sucks for now because it cause the internet very slow and not running properly.. also youtube fk’ed up when I click “play” but I have to refresh like 4 or 5 times to get it played, ugh!

Many friend of mine told me that Comcast is trying to steal a lot of the money, it doesn’t to me. I only pay like 60 dollar per month for the internet.. not rip-off for me since it is best internet that I have been using since. Strange, AT&T is similar to Comcast but less speed than what Comcast.

My recommeded for the people who can’t afford the internet – I would say AT&T, it is best for all.

    AT&T only carries DSL for internet, not cable modem, FYI which is why the speed isn’t the tops until you shell out $$$ for speed booster.

    Comcast is decent but not at the best. Since you said you paid 60 bucks, that has me stunned because that is way too damn high! Average cost of internet service in cable companies are usually anywhere from $40 to $45 a month without speed booster. I’m not sure if you’re using the speed booster, if you do, $60 dollars may be more sense.

    Cox is pretty much the same as Comcast and Optimum.

    Optimum is the best company than the other cable/internet/phone companies because of high speed quality without any problems. The customers rarely need the speed booster at all. However the cost is high of course. I pay for all three services, cable/internet/phone (all three in one bill is awesome…same with other cable/dsl companies do over that such service) and the cost of monthly is high though. However this is my only cable company in my area, unfortunately….for time being, I’m still waiting for Verizon FIOS to come to CT.

    Charter is the worst of all…it is at the bottom of cable companies the consumers choose. However the customers may not have any cable choices since the choice may be limited to Charter only. I would highly recommend the Charter customers to get the speed booster to improve the quality of Videophone.

    Verizon FIOS (fiber optic) is number one of cable/phone/internet choice in all over USA. Very reasonable price for all quality service. Unfortunately not many people get that service in their area like me. I can’t get that service since it caters to NY customers. But it is in works when it will work toward CT someday.

    I don’t know much about Qwest.

      Yeah, I forget that AT&T didn’t providing cable but they work with Directv which few small internet businesses tend to use Directv. But now I am using Nick’s wireless internet that is under AT&T so it’s sucks! ugh, it cause the internet slow down and fk’ed everything up. No wonder, they are cheaper but worth for people who can’t afford the higher price, you know.

      other reason why I am using Comcast because most of the internet company in my area don’t providing the internet, only Comcast do. Such like Charter, Cox, Optimum, and Verizon Fios, :-( it is not in my area, that’s why I choose Comcast as my default ISP, ugh. Tried my best to find the good internet company that give the fair price but unfortunately, most of them aren’t in my area. I think I did use speed booster for high speed internet because of Videophone, Sorenson requires high speed internet that can support videophone so I choose Comcast. had no choice. I knew it is damn high price for you! lol.

      Well, most of my friend told me that Qwest is good company and it is similar to Comcast. That’s what I knew about Qwest but it is not my area either. Only Comcast, I think Comcast is trying to steal or give higher authorization than other internet company does. Also I tried to ask AT&T to be my default provider but they couldn’t for some reason.

      Wish had some good internet companies in my area but nope. :-( Ugh, hate when many internet companies trying to be competitive *eye rolls* I had to agreed with you. That’s why I brought up about this post. :-D

    I forgot to add one more thing…..the cable/DSL/FIOS companies do play the monopoly to be in competition with each other trying to convince the customers with special rates for six months or even a year before they jack up more $$$$ when the six months/a year is up. UGH! That is not even funny. But that is monopoly to you all.
